Northumberland is one of those places that we’ve always wanted to visit with the dogs, but somehow always prioritised other areas first. Whether it’s been going straight past to head for Scotland, or staying in our familiar territory of the Lake District, it took us until recently to finally spend some time up here. To say we loved it would be a huge understatement! It’s about as good as it gets for dogs, with enormous dog friendly sandy beaches, lakes, forests, castles, beautiful towns and villages and miles and miles of unspoilt countryside. If you’re looking for your next dog friendly getaway, we really believe Northumberland has it all.
