Camera roll from a cosy dog friendly Cotswolds weekend getaway 🫶 Our absolute favourite time of year to explore the area we call home and such a great time visit some of the more popular spots as it gets so much quieter. Below are some of our recommendations! Stay:@swan_inn_ascott was such a perfect base for us and is the most gorgeous pub with rooms. All rooms are dog friendly and beautifully decorated (we’ve made a reel all about our stay).Eat: 🍽️ @swan_inn_ascott for seasonal dinners and regularly changing specials, plus the fireplace of dreams in the bar area 😍🍽️ @thechequerschurchill is the sister pub of the Swan just down the road in the gorgeous village of Churchill. It’s a popular dinner spot - we had a very tasty (and very large!) meal here one night and left with very full and happy tummies!☕️ Head into Stow or Burford for coffee, some of our favourites are @stowtowncoffee , @lynwoodandco @otis_and_belle @thecotswoldfarm_ 🍔 Don’t miss the burgers at @smiths_of_bourton, a delicious dog friendly burger place in Bourton that is worth a try! What to do:🚜 Clarkson’s Farm fan? The Swan is in easy distance of all three locations, with @diddlysquat.farmshop just up the road, The @thefarmersdogpub just 10 minutes away and @hawkstonearms a little further (but much quieter - see more below!)🐾 Walk the circuit between Lower Slaughter, Upper Slaughter and Bourton on the Water. One of our favourite circuits to see some of the prettiest villages. Conveniently @hawkstonearms is next to the route, as is @smiths_of_bourton ! 🌳 Dogs on leads are welcome at @batsforda which is gorgeous in autumn as the leaves start to turn 🍁 We’ve put together more of our favourite things to do in the Cotswolds on our website, link in bio!#dogsonholiday #travelwithdogs #ukstaycation #dogfriendlytravel #dogfriendlycotswolds

Stay:Self catered: Findara Cottage at @a_life_less_ordinary_project incredible interiors, in easy reach of all of our favourite beaches.Hotel: @lord_crewe_arms in Blanchland - great food, lovely rooms in the most beautiful village.Eat:@barnatbeal @thejollyfisherman @blackbulllowick @scottsofalnmouth @pilgrimscoffeehouse Visit:🏖️ Cheswick Sands🏖️Bamburgh and Budle Bay🛶 Holy Island of Lindsifarne🏰Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle🌳Cragside House 🌲Kielder ForestHappy travels!
With lots of sunshine on the way, we’re dreaming With lots of sunshine on the way, we’re dreaming of another weekend on Anglesey. Here are some of our top dog friendly picks 👇Eat:@melinllynon is home to Wales’ last working windmill and an absolute must visit for their Mônuts - I’m really not a doughnut fan but these were INSANE. Get there early, they do sell out! @dylansrestaurants in Menai Bridge was a fab dog friendly spot on the waterfront with a really varied menu for brunch, lunch and dinner.@cafe.notos in Rhosneigr was a brunch favourite, super dog friendly with treats on tap and a short walk to one of our favourite beaches. Visit:🏖️ Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan - lovely sandy beaches - dog friendly all year round, the dogs loved the sand dunes too! 🌲 Newborough - stunning pine forest and one of the nicest beaches we’ve ever visited, with incredible views over to Snowdonia. Look out for dog restrictions on a section of the beach May - September. 🏝️Ynys Llandwynn - a must visit and highlight of our trip! Lots of little hidden beaches, incredible views and dog friendly all year round (but on leads during ground nesting bird season).🥾Parys Mountain - an unexpected highlight of our trip. An ancient copper mine that feels like stepping onto Mars! Swimming spots for the dogs and a network of easy footpaths. 🐾 You’re so close to Snowdonia it’s easy to pop to Aber Falls en route to Anglesey or on your return journey - a stunning and easily accessible waterfall. Stay:@wildheartescapes was our base (previous pr stay). A selection of dog friendly cottages, perfectly located a few minutes from Menai Bridge with their own private woodland for the dogs to enjoy plus dedicated secure dog exercise area. There’s so much more to see on this island, we can’t wait to return! Where should we visit next?!

I thought it would be nice to share some of our favourite places we’ve shown her over the past year. No crazy challenges or restrictive resolutions; just me, my dogs and the outdoors. Even though the weather hasn’t always played ball, it’s amazing how good it’s been for my brain just getting up on the hills for a bit of fresh air and exercise 🫶We ended on a high this morning on top of the beautiful Malvern Hills. It’s always a punt leaving in the pitch black and praying for clear tops, especially as this is further to drive to than my usual sunrise walks! Thankfully it paid off ✨Let me know in the comments how you’ve combatted the January blues 👇

January usually means one thing in this house - it January usually means one thing in this house - it’s time to start planning some last minute Lake District trips!⁣⁣Winter is honestly my favourite time of year to visit the Lakes (and many other UK holiday spots) - SO much quieter and if you get lucky with the weather, it’s just magical. If you don’t, then at least there are so many lovely cosy hotels and pubs to warm up in! All of the photos in this series were taken in winter, and I’ve popped in some personal recommendations of dog friendly places to stay below👇⁣Dog friendly accommodation recommendations:⁣@rothaymanor (photos 6 & 7) - probably one of my all time favourite dog friendly stays - it’s a splurge but SO worth it. Incredible food, incredible dog friendly communal areas and even a dedicated dog wash room with drying robes!⁣@lancrigg_grasmere (photos 8 & 9)- really well located just a short walk outside of Grasmere, well priced, super relaxed vibe, lovely rooms and plenty walks from the door!⁣@keswickholidayhomes_ - They have several properties but we’ve stayed in one of their apartments in Portinscale called Withesike, which was just a stroll into Keswick - a lovely self catered set up, really clean and spacious with treats on arrival for the dogs - the nicest self catered spot we’ve stayed at in the Lakes.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve had this I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve had this lake in Switzerland saved on my Google map for literally 5 years! ⁣⁣It was too far out of our way to visit on our last trip to Switzerland, but as this spot is so close to the Italian border it made sense to tie it in with our journey from the Dolomites this time around. I almost cried with happiness when I saw how still the lake was! We arrived late in the day so there was barely anyone there and although we had to walk back in the dark with our head torches, i’d say it was worth it 😍⁣⁣Swipe to the end for a blurry outtake surprise from Maple 🤪
Just two besties exploring the world together ❤️🇮🇹⁣⁣So many photos to share from our trip, but they just look like the happiest girlies in this one 🥹 I know we’ve been pretty quiet since getting back from Italy - only 36 hours after getting home we were completing on our new house, so it’s been a whirlwind of boxes and unpacking for the past week! ⁣⁣There will be a full Italy itinerary coming 🔜 though!⁣⁣#dogsonholiday #travelwithdogs #dolomites #dogfriendlydolomites #livingtheirbestlife
It blows my mind that places like this exist by th It blows my mind that places like this exist by the side of the road in Italy 🤯⁣⁣We’ve been so incredibly lucky with our first few days of weather and calm conditions, we came across this lake on the way to a hike and it was too pretty to not explore! ⁣⁣#dolomites #dogsonholiday #dolomitesfall #dogfriendly
